Dongdaemun Design Plaza; WETA Fantasy Workshop

In Dongdaemun Design Plaza, they currently have multiple exhibitions. One of which is the WETA Fantasy exhibition.
It has many different pictures and sculptures available for viewing.

If you like Lord of the Rings or any Fantasy in general, definitely recommend coming here.
It really is amazing how people can create artwork like this.

I wish the exhibition had been larger, luckily it wasnt overly crowded. It was a lot of fun. They also gave us free water when we exited.

Also~ The Transformers Anniversary Exhibition is going on at the DDP. I believe you have to pay extra to visit that exhibition.

Gollum, Elks, Trolls, Ents and more. Now I just wish they had a life size Legolas <3

There is an Entrance fee of 15,000. If you have a Shinhan Card or a BC card, I believe you can get 20% off.

Linus BBQ, Itaewon

Finally, a food/restaurant review in Seoul!

Linus BBQ!

It was AMAZING. Finding Real BBQ in Korea is...wow~
I went with a date >//< and he's been to/lived in Texas for a while and is really proud of his BBQ tasting skills haha. Sooo~~ Here you go:

    • Their menus were really interesting! Two wood pieces put together and their options carved into the wood itself!
    • They had two different types of sauces. One for pork, the other for their brisket. The one for brisket was spicer and the one for pork is sweeter. I prefered the brisket sauce. Yumyum, it was a good kick. Not too spicy but definitely brought some heat.
    • We got the food for two, which came with pulled pork and brisket, hawaiian bread (which had a special sauce on the inside...kinda like a light chives garlic butter...i dunno but it was fantastic). We also got 3 sides: coleslaw, bacon and baked beans and potato salad.
      • Bacon and baked beans were pretty good. Which is saying a lot since I'm not a big fan.
      • The coleslaw was a good vegetable option (for those that need more than just meat)
      • The potato salad... Wow! I usually don't like potato salad in Korea. It's too sweet, they throw weird stuff into it...it's not for me. But this, my oh my. It was fantastic. I couldn't stop eating it. It's just good... I dont know how to explain it. My partner said it was too salty...which after eating it for a bit, I could see what he meant, but it was really good. Did I mention it was really good?
    • It came with Jalapenos and thinly sliced pickles on the side.
    • My partner got the Lynchburg Lemonade
      • Jack Daniels, triple sec, sour mix and sprite
      • He said it was awesome. Solid 9/10
    • Ok so on to the meat!
      • Brisket: Was my favorite. I really enjoyed it. It still had some fat on it but it was tender and juicy. It wasnt dry, even though I had a thick slice on my bun, it was so good and had a light smokey taste.
      • Pulled pork: Was so good as well. Most of the pull porked I've tried has been dry but THIS was not the case. It was wonderfully cooked and was also moist. Partner mentioned that the pork was a little cold and could have been warmer...but that he wasnt complaining. That the food was still good and it was worth every penny. I thought it was okay, I didn't have as much as he did so I guess I'm a bit biased towards the brisket anyways.

Definitely give this place a 10/10 in my book.
Sorry about the lack of photos. I forgot my camera and we were anxious to eat lol.

Chicken in Daejeon and Anime wallpaper!

Last restaurant from Daejeon! (For a while)

This place is called Yellow Chicken! 노랑통닭 to be exact. c:

This place is really cute and had awesome chicken! I was so full but I still had a few pieces because it looked so gooooood!!

Speed Racer wallpaper!

I think we got the spicy and regular chicken! Yum

For a chicken places, this place was pretty good. The meat was tender and even though i prefer chicken with the bone attached to it, the boneless chicken was also awesome.

British Pantry

Hey there, long time no post >_<

Sorry guys, I'm back! Had a bit of a time crunch with work and such but here's the other part of Daejeon that I forgot to mention!

Here is the British Pantry!
Delicious brunch in Daejeon!
When I first heard about this place, I was really excited! But I realized, it was downstairs in some basement area... (creepy) but my friend recommended it and so we went. It was actually sunny in the basement and the place was cute! The waiter is also handsome, a tall korean man. c:
On to the pictures!

 Peach Ice Tea

It was sweet and refreshing! But reminded me of Lipton.

5/10
 San Pellegrino; Blood Orange

It's so hard to find these here!!

10/10

 Farmer's omelet

Lots of meat! Bacon, sausage, onions.

Comes with a side of salad and bread. You have to ask for Jam~~

7/10
BLT club

This was my favorite. It was one of the best BLT Clubs I've had in a long time. It was REAL bacon too!!

8/10
Caesar's chicken wrap with a side of hashbrown

): unfortunately, this was a bust. The dressing wasnt very Caesar and it was extremely dry. Low in calories but low in taste as well.

4/10

Coffee

I didnt get to taste it... but apparently it was pretty good. (this is from a barista/coffee fanatic)

8/10

Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for brunch that isnt pancakes!
Final Score: 8/10

Weekend Trip; Daejeon Food

Hello hello and welcome to the food edition!

Daejeon~ You spoil me!

Here we go:

Near 노은역, there is a place called Madelines. They have THE best bread I have tasted in Korea!

I kid you not, finding Melon bread is one of the hardest feats but... here it is. Delicious and so perfect.

We then got some meat near the big city in Daejeon where the bar: Yellow Taxi is! It was so good and the meat was thick and juicy :) I seem to have lost the name but you can kind of see it in the picture!

We went to a bar afterwards and got a few drinks. It was called Sponge! They used to allow dancing but no more!

I got the non alcoholic mocha, my friend the pina colada and my other friend a AMF.
This ricotta thing was SO good. It had balsamic vinegar, apple, and ricotta cheese on a cracker with dried blueberries. laskmclasdkfj i was full but i was inhaling these bad boys <3

Weekend Adventure; Daejeon sightseeing

Alright! Traveling has been completed for the weekend!

Today will be....... *drumroll* Daejeon!

I am very fortunate to have an awesome friend live in Daejeon and I can crash her place! I went to so many places to eat & sightsee!

This post is about~~ Sightseeing! The next one will be about nomnomnoms!

First stop: Daejeon Expo Plaza

We got a decent view, there was a bodybuilding competition going on and lots of really buff guys /drool

It was to the point where I got too shy to take pictures haha.

right in front of the stage, there was a small flea market and this huge bridge.

And next to that bridge was an entrance to a beautiful park

We then went to the museum, it was only 500 won per person!! So cheap! 1500 cuz my friend paid for 3 of us! So nice <3

Just a few of the art pieces they had.
It was a wonderful time and though it may seem small from the pictures, it was a VERY large area and LOTS to see. The garden was exquisite! It was actually an Arboretum but it felt like a beautiful, secret garden! hehe.

Next post will be food! Much longer than this one. I hope you enjoyed the pictures! Do you have any places to recommend?? Feel free to message/leave me a comment and I'll do my best to go and take some pictures c:
